Welcome to casa de leyendas

Casa de Leyendas is a charming hacienda that reflects the beautiful culture and heritage of México in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The construction of Casa de Leyendas began, and the hotel opened for business in 2004.

Macaws Bistro & Bar, our 50-seat restaurant, was first opened for business, and it remains one of Centro Historico most popular eateries to this day.

The location originally housed Mazatlán's Gold Depository. When the depository moved to a different location in the 1950's, the property was purchased by a prominent physician who built the current home to raise his family and serve as his private clinc.

The home was purchased and transformed into a 6 room bed & breakfast. Due to its location and architecture, the B&B quickly became a Mazatlán main stay for many tourists and expats.

New owners bought the property and business and installed 2 new rooms and a front desk concierge services, updating the former 6 room B&B to an 8 room boutique hotel. They also added a wine shop and cigar shop for a better experience for our hotel guests.

Casa de Leyendas made major changes due to the pandemic in 2020. We removed the wine shop and cigar bar and moved Macaws bistro commercial kitchen to a more centralized location in the hotel. This freed up enough space to add 2 additional rooms, bringing our little hotel capacity to a total of 10 beautiful unique rooms.

We are not slowing down our continual innovations to our pride and joy. Today, under the leadership and direction of Fabiola Sandoval, our hotel manager/operator Casa de Leyendas is looking forward to a bright new future.

What's going to happen in the future here at Casa de Leyendas. Well, that is wide open, we've thought about adding a small bar and restaurant on the roof with ocean views, maybe add a room or 2 more, and up grading room chandeliers, we are not sure exactly.
What would truly be great is some feedback from our awesome guests who have supported Casa de Leyendas for the last 20 years. Oh my, where has the time gone?

It's been such a wonderful ride, we are very blessed to have such wonderful staff support, some of whom have been with Casa de Leyendas literally from the start, over 20 years now. To all of our staff and guests, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It has been a privilege and an honor to be a part of this historic hotel and share these wonderful moments with everyone.
